Elaine Greta Adeval of New Vista for Families to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, January 10, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Millions of kind hearted people generously donate to charities and support worthy causes all over the world. But when there is someone so extremely compassionate she has literally made it her life’s mission to help others, she unquestionably deserves our deepest honor and respect.

Elaine is an expert psychologist and family counselor who has treated people suffering from anxiety and depression for over fifteen plus years. She is also the owner of New Vista for Families, a shelter for abused women desperately fleeing from their violent boyfriends or husbands.

“We provide comfort and refuge for these shattered, disheartened women and their children,” says Elaine. “By helping them find a new place to work, buy them new clothes, even pay for their job training and medical expenses, we ultimately assist them in reclaiming their lives again.”

Many years ago, Elaine was also a tragic victim of domestic abuse and consequently shares a deep- seated connection with these women. With her heartfelt, empathetic desire to help others, Elaine was so inspired to make a difference in the lives of other people she opened New Vista for Families and has never looked back.

“My own harrowing experience has taught me to recognize warning signs of a potential abuser,” says Elaine. “For instance, when you’re in a relationship does your partner treat people who service him, such as waiters and waitresses, very disparagingly? Is he unusually controlling and demanding of every move you make? Does he ridicule your ideas and opinions? When you have disagreements is he menacing, hot-tempered and vindictive? These are all red flags that women should learn to recognize because when you first meet these men they will be extremely charming and manipulative.”

Elaine passionately puts every inch of her heart and soul into New Vista providing all the support, solace, and finances to assist these women in getting back on their feet again. But now it’s extremely critical she receive donations to keep the shelter operating. With her own kids to support and an enormous amount of bills to pay, Elaine is in extreme urgent need. Her ultimate dream is to raise enough money to open a second shelter and provide more resources for these vulnerable women who are fighting for their lives. While her counseling work is thoroughly rewarding, Elaine’s heart is so enormous she charges for her services by sliding-scale fees.

“Domestic violence is an overwhelming problem,” says Elaine. “For victims of abuse it doesn’t mean your life is destroyed forever, you will eventually heal and find peace, joy, and happiness. New Vista for Families hasn’t made me any money, in fact it’s put me at a much more economic disadvantage, but I will continue to persevere because I know how much I am helping people.”
