Olympic Marathon Pioneer, Lynn Petronella Announces Mother's Day Is Every Day Campaign

World's Greatest Achievement Medal

Activist works to empower women as well as men so families are strengthened

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, May 8, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As part of an world-wide celebration of birth, Olympic marathon pioneer, former Olympic coach, and author, Lynn Petronella, has chosen mother's day week to launch an international tribute to mothering and womankind.

Her platform first caught the attention it needed in February, 2008, when Michelle Obama and Angelina Jolie were presented with 'The World's Greatest Achievement Medal.' Petronella says the award honors the sacrifice and dedication of mothers who bring the greatest gift of all, life.

Each medal is a 1.5" and 24CT, gold-plated. The design of a mother and a laurel wreath makes it a replica of the medal given to winners of running events. On the back is a place for the name, date, time and weight of the child to be engraved as a keep-sake and gift.

"Birth is a miracle. It's royal because as a baby is delivered, its head naturally crowns," explained Petronella. In honor of Prince Harry's and Meghan Markle's royal child, and every child that is born, we celebrate Mother's Day, every day."

Petronella added that "The most profound athletic act a woman can do is give birth. My goal is to honor women who birth, raise, educate, and cope with the demands of motherhood with innovative, gold medal and other products. Twenty percent of all sales are donated to women and children charities."

"Lynn continues to galvanize the miracle of motherhood," stated Fran Briggs, Publicist to Lynn Petronella. "Her aim is to empower women as well as men so families are strengthened."

Hollywood actress, Keira Knightley, spoke to the marathon-like difficulty of raising a child. “I don’t think we give women enough credit for the physical and emotional marathon they go through when becoming a mother.”

The idea for the medals came to Petronella while she was training for the Olympic marathon. She said the childbirth process inspired her to honor something greater than winning a grueling, world-class, marathon.
