Lewis County Public Health Measles Statement

Lewis County Public Health extends our deepest sympathy to the family and loved ones of the child whose death was associated with the ongoing measles outbreak. We ask our community to offer compassion and respect for the family’s privacy during this heartbreaking time.

Measles can cause serious illness, and the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is the best protection. If you have questions about vaccination or your family’s protection, please contact your healthcare provider or Lewis County Public Health.

For the most up-to-date Lewis County case numbers, visit the Measles case chart on our website: www.lewiscountypublichealth.com.
